Domperidone

Domperidone :- 

- is dopamine  antagonist which selectively blocks peripheral  receptor  . 

- not cross blood  Brain baries(BBB) 

- Lake extrapyramidal effect .
- is rapidly absorped  after  oral admine .

- anti- emetic.

- excreted in breast  milk .

- not be uses during pregnancy.  




Uses : (indication ):- 

🔸treatment   N, V ( nausea , vomiting ) .
🔸GERD .
🔸oesophagitis  
🔸Epigastric  sense of fullness . 

 Dosage and administration :-

Adults :- 
Cap : 1-2 cap .3-4 times daily .
Saspension: 2-4 teaspoonful 3-4 times daily .

Children : -
0.2-0.4 mg/kg body weight every 4- 8 house  . 
Drug- interaction :- 

☝🏻Azol antifungal. 

☝🏻 Clarrithromycine . 

☝🏻diltiazem.
